Embedded Firmware Engineer
Responsible for design, implementation, debugging, verification and maintenance of firmware for embedded systems. Must have strong C development skills. Duties include planning and performing programming duties as assigned, including system design and coding. Must be able to work alone and with team of developers to solve complex problems, design software to meet customer requirements, participate in product development planning meetings and perform code design reviews. Must have good communications skills and be able and willing to professionally work with customers directly. Must have experience with issue tracking systems, revision control systems such as SVN and other tools needed for firmware development.

Will be developing low level drivers for communicating with GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee and cellular (CDMA and GSM) components. Knowledge in one or more of these areas is a plus. A strong background in operating systems is important. Additional skills in C++, C#, Java, and Android a plus.

Requirements: This position requires a B.S. in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on firmware, with zero to five years of software experience. Demonstrate proficiency with ANSI C. Knowledge of embedded programming, operating systems, protocol stacks, product development process and system testing. Entrepreneurial, driven, self motivated individual. Good communication and teamwork skills. Strong analytical and development skills. Must be authorized to work in the US
